With that last little eastward jog Rita took before she hit the coast. we
went from being in the projected eye of the storm to getting nothing but a
"blustery day" on Saturday! The town 100 miles directly east of us (Jasper)
was hit hard and will take a long time to clean up!
So we're thankful we were spared; we pray for those whose "stuff" is now all
messed up and destroyed (cause even tho we know it's just "stuff," it still
takes a toll to lose it all in one fell swoop); we would have like a bit of
rain to end our drought; and the sides and porches of BOTH houses sure are
neat and clean now!
Painting is to start this week on the new house, then a flurry of activity
with counter tops, septic, propane, flooring, light switches and fixtures,
etc. etc. Should be more than fun!
