    Default comp slows WAY down...

    My comp runs great at first but after awhile when playing Evil Genius it just starts to lag really bad...not sure what to do. Got over a gig of RAM in it...here is the dxdiag info...any help is appreciated

    Do you have anything else running in the background while playing Evil Genius? Also do you have spyware and virus protection or use any utilities? Like Defrag, scan disk, or System Mechanic?

    well I kill as many of the processes in the background i can...i have mcafee and usually turn it off before playing the game...I just defragged both HD's and got "CCleaner" which is some kind of cleaner to speed up comps...dunno Haven't played the game in a few days so I'm not sure if the defrags or that program helped any...

    You shouldn't really turn off your antivirus, unless your not online then it's not wise. How much harddrive space do you have?

    well I have cable so I'm ALWAYS online but i guess it's not a problem to unplug the cable while playing...and it's only a 40 gig HD but there is about 13 gigs free i think...not on that comp right now...

    All I can say, that its just becuase it's a DELL.
    Dell's are known to be slower then what they say they are.

    hd sounds close 2 full slower as they fill up
