Default itunes and worms- xp home edition

I haven't seen an ipod or itunes newsgroup, so I will ask here for any
    referrals.

I recently was using Itunes to increase my playlist (ipod not attached) when
Norton AV told me it stopped and blocked a worm (did not list name of worm).
Inside Comodo firewall, the IP address it listed matched the ip address
inbound for itunes.exe. Does anyone know if itunes has been hacked or its
simply a mis-recognition by Norton? I noticed a rather unusual set of
updates from all the Norton system works last night, but nothing specific in
regards to this rather alarming find the other night. All the google
references for itunes and worms seem topoint at an AOL IM fake installation
    of itunes.

    Thanks

    Paul

Try over at Apple. This is Microsoft.
