anti virus gold
Anybody heard of this software?
The reason I ask is because I installed this software only 2 b told by it
about 2 hours later that I had a virus and offered 2 remove it, tried that
only 2 b told that I would have 2 buy the software.
I didn't but instead checked my computer with a couple of free virus
scanners but they found nothing (used avg free and ntl netgaurd)
Uninstalled the software and rebooted was still told by the software I still
had a virus only this time my desktop was highjacked telling me I had a
virus and to click here to remove it, the link brought me back to
www.antivirusgold.com telling me to removed the virus I had to buy the
software. Did a little snooping and removed web content from my desktop
and spyware from my computer, the message disappeared rebooted only to find
that it was back again both the message and the spyware. By this time I was
really annoyed so fdisk my partition and reinstalled windows xp.
I just want to know if anybody knows about this company cause they caused my
a few hours of grief.

Re: anti virus gold
I posted some info about this 06-21-05 titled " AntiVirus Gold <---Do not
get the wrong one!" look it up.
anyways what's done is done. Go to
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm and then go to edit and
do a "find" for "AntiVirus Gold" and it should take you down to the section
on the page about this rouge program. According to them this program
contains aggressive advertising, desktop hijacks .
