Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and run AVG from there.

Some of the biggest names in AV like Norton and AVG report java
'infections' which actually aren't at all. If you'll empty your
Temporary Internet Files from Internet Options you might find the
'infection' gone. Which amounts to pretty lousy information coming
from AVG, Norton and the like?

IIRC, AVG sounds off on the byte verify exploit files that Sun Java
uses to fight the byte verify exploit itself and also hits on the TIF
folder as well. Ignore those hits in the Sun Java folder and just
delete the TIF as above - no problems.
