    Default VOIP with DialUp?

Does anyone here use VOIP with a dialup internet connection? InteleFone claims their phone works with dialup connections as low as 28k because of a built in hardware compression. They even give away FREE VOIP phones. Has anyone heard of them or used their service?

This is an excellent question that affects all VOIP providers. This is one of the reasons I am not 100% VOIP at my house. Currently the only solution I know of is using a webbased faxing service such as efax.com. They offer a free plan that allows you receive faxes however to send there is a monthly fee. Im sure there is a company out there that only charges per fax sent. I will let you know if I find one. Do keep in mind though that the cost saved by using VOIP tp make long distance / international calls could balance out paying for a faxing service if needed.
