1.4 GB free on C drive - is this enough?
I've got Windows 2000 installed onto my C drive, which is 5 gigabytes and has
1.4 gigabytes of free space left. This seems kinda low to me... would you be
concerned? I know the free space will decrease as I apply Windows updates and
install programs (to my D drive, but sometimes stuff gets put on my C drive
anyway). So the question is will 1.4 gigabytes be enough for all that? I
have an opportunity to re-partition my drives right now, so I can increase the
size of the C drive, but of course I wouldn't want increase the space if it
will end up being wasted.

I think it's a little tight. I would feel more comfortable with
2.5 GBytes free for Win2000, and 5 GBytes for WinXP.

Depends what/how many Apps you are going to install, as some will install
various things to C even if you custom install to another drive.
My used space on C is 5gb and all apps are installed elsewhere

If you only have 1.4 GB, that is pretty low, You should try to delete some stuff. Also go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall any programs you don't use or hardly use. If you download alot of songs and Videos, try to delete some to free of some space. Also, if you don't have any anti-virus programs installed. I reconmend that you download CleanUp, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE Personal. That will help clear up some space on your computer and may run your computer faster. Too much used space isn't good for your computer.
