Windows Media Center Extension
I have Windows XP PRO. I have been getting a pop up when I view Yahoo Games
Website. It says:
"this wbsite wants to run the following add-on: 'windows media player
extension' from microsoft corporation. If you trust the website and the
add-on and want to allow it to run, click here."
When I click on it I get a popup box that says "run ActiveX control". I
have been cautioned in the past about running activeX. That it can cause
problems with the computer. Anyone have any opinions on this? Is ActiveX
necessary and can I trust yahoo's website as was cautioned above?
Thanks for any advise you can give.
